Nymphenburg Palace tickets: which one to buy
For most visitors, the palace's own ticket is enough: €10 for the palace. The combined ticket adds the carriage museum, the porcelain museum and the park pavilions.
In winter, the combined ticket costs less because the pavilions are closed. It is €16 now and €20 from April.
Some rooms are closed. The Lacquer Cabinet (Room 13) stays shut until the end of 2027. The resold ticket's listing says Rooms 11 to 13 are closed for restoration.
Nymphenburg Palace cost: the palace's own prices
The palace's 2026 price list:
| Ticket | Price |
|---|---|
| Palace | €10 (€9) |
| Carriage museum with porcelain museum | €8 (€7) |
| Park pavilions | €6 (€5) |
| Combined ticket, summer (April to mid-October) | €20 (€18) |
| Combined ticket, winter (mid-October to March) | €16 (€14) |
Nymphenburg Palace tour: guided or on your own
Book a guided tour if you want the stories. Go on your own if you only want to see the rooms.
The 2-hour tour takes you through the palace and the carriage museum with a live guide. Peter's walk tells the stories in the park, then you go in alone.
Nymphenburg Palace audio guide
Peter's tour includes palace tickets and an audio guide for your time inside. We could not confirm the palace's own audio guide terms.
Nymphenburg Palace garden: free, and best from spring to fall
The park is free: the palace's price list charges only for the buildings. In November, the main gate is open from 6 am to 6 pm.
The four park pavilions, such as the Amalienburg, are closed from October 16 to March. They open again in April.
Nymphenburg Palace photos: when the park looks best
The fountains usually run from Easter to mid-October, from 10 to 12 and from 2 to 4. One tour listing warns that the gardens are not green in winter.
Nymphenburg Palace at night: the concerts
Two concerts let you see the palace in the evening. Neither includes museum entry.
The classical evening concert takes 2 hours, from €69. The piano recital is the cheaper choice, from €39.
Visiting Schloss Nymphenburg: hours, address and time needed
From October 16 to March, the palace and carriage museum open daily from 10 am to 4 pm. From April to October 15, hours are 9 am to 6 pm.
Everything is closed on January 1, Shrove Tuesday and December 24, 25 and 31. The address is Schloß Nymphenburg 1, 80638 München.
The palace is outside the old town. Our Munich public transport guide explains which ticket covers the ride.
One of the three hop-on hop-off bus lines runs to Nymphenburg and the Olympic Park.
Plan the old town for another half day. Our walks from Marienplatz cover it.
Pair it with another palace or museum
The same bus line goes on to the Olympic Park. There, BMW Welt is free and the BMW Museum costs €17.
