Tickets for the Houston Astros: Rockets, Texans, Dynamo
Tickets for the Houston Astros are sold by the team, and the Rockets, Texans and Dynamo sell theirs the same way, so start on each team's own site. Two of the four teams play downtown, which makes a game an easy half day to plan.
Four pro teams play in Houston. The Astros and the Rockets play downtown, the Texans play south of the center, and the Dynamo play east of it. You can buy a seat for each one from the team itself, and that is the safest place to start.
Step 1: Find out where each team plays
Each team has its own venue, and two of them are downtown. The Astros play baseball at Daikin Park. The park was called Minute Maid Park until the end of 2024, and the Astros announced the new name in a 2024 press release. Some older listings still use the old name. No official page gives an Astros ticket price, so we cannot say what one costs. The official pages also do not say which seat areas cost least, which games sell out first, or how long a game lasts. Minute Maid Park and Daikin Park are the same ballpark. Check the team's page for the date you want, because the price and the best seats are only shown there. There is no Astros tour or ticket on GetYourGuide. The Houston city tours in Step 5 cost €27 to €58 per person and only fill the hours before the game. They are not a way into the ballpark.
The Rockets play basketball at Toyota Center, at 1510 Polk Street. The Texans play football at NRG Stadium, south of downtown. The Dynamo play soccer at Shell Energy Stadium, east of downtown.
| Step | Team | Venue | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Astros (baseball) | Daikin Park | Downtown |
| 1 | Rockets (basketball) | Toyota Center | Downtown, 1510 Polk Street |
| 1 | Texans (football) | NRG Stadium | South of downtown |
| 1 | Dynamo (soccer) | Shell Energy Stadium | East of downtown |
| 2 | Buy from | The team's own site | Check the date and seat |
| 3 | Check | Price, bag rules, refund | Before you pay |
| 4 | Get there | METRORail or a ride | Plan the line first |
| 5 | Before the game | Downtown walk or tour | Weekday tunnels close at 6 p.m. |
Every Houston team sells its own seats, and the team's page is where a seat starts at face value.
Step 2: Buy tickets for the Houston Astros from the team
Buy from the team first. The Texans say it plainly. Their ticket page states that official tickets are sold on houstontexans.com, and that tickets bought there are mobile and arrive in your Texans account and the Texans app. The Rockets' ticket page sends single-game buyers to a game and seat picker on the team's site.
The Astros and the Dynamo work the same way. Each team has a ticket page on its own site. We could not open the Astros page on the day we checked, so read it yourself for the current rules. The Dynamo page links to single-match tickets and to a ticket help page.
Be careful with sellers you do not know. Resale sites can charge more or less than the team does. A seat from the team has the face value printed on it. We found no official page that compares weekday and weekend Astros prices, so look at each date on the team's page. We also found no student or child discount, so ask the team's ticket office before you pay.
Step 3: Check the price and the rules before you pay
Prices change from game to game. The Texans' page says so directly. Prices vary by opponent, date and seat. The Rockets' and Dynamo's pages list no prices at all, and we could not confirm an Astros price range, so no team gives you a fixed number to plan on. The Astros play at Daikin Park, called Minute Maid Park until the end of 2024, and their price is not published.
Check the bag rules too. Toyota Center asks fans to travel light and not bring bags. Its page says all bags are subject to search, and fans with bags must use the designated bag entrances. Look up the rules for your venue before the day.
The Texans' schedule on their ticket page lists home games on 19 November, 29 November and 20 December, plus a Week 18 game with no date yet. Dates can change, so check the page when you buy.
There is one game ticket on GetYourGuide. It is a Houston Rockets game ticket at Toyota Center, run by Sports Where I Am. It is from €26 per person, rated 4.7 from 40 reviews, and it is not refundable. The listing says the digital ticket comes from the team's ticket provider, and the booking email is not the entry ticket. It also says prices can sit above or below face value. The meeting point is the arena itself.
Prices and ratings as shown on GetYourGuide on 28 October 2026.
Key Takeaway Of the four teams, only the Rockets have a game ticket on GetYourGuide, and that ticket is not refundable.
The Best Travel Destinations' count of GetYourGuide listings for Houston in October 2026 found 93 listings, and 1 is a pro sports game ticket. That one is the Rockets ticket, from €26 per person.
The honest limit is this. If you want an Astros, Texans or Dynamo seat, GetYourGuide is the wrong place. Go to the team.
Step 4: Get to the game by METRORail
Daikin Park is the easy one. METRO says the Green and Purple lines both stop at Convention District Station, at the western end of each line. The Red Line does not stop at the ballpark. METRO's Daikin Park page says to transfer to the Green or Purple line at Central Station, one stop away.
The Green and Purple lines run every 12 to 18 minutes. Leave early, because a game crowd fills the platform. A single local ride costs $1.25, and a day pass is $3.
For NRG Stadium, METRO says the Red Line serves the stadium area. The stop is Stadium Park / Astrodome, at the southern end of the line. METRO's page calls the site Reliant Park, so look for that name on signs.
For Toyota Center, the arena's page says METRO runs routes near and around it, without naming one. Its garage, the Toyota Tundra Garage, is at 1515 Jackson Street. Plan the last leg in METRO's trip planner. Our guide to getting around Houston covers fares and passes.
Pro Tip For a Sunday noon Texans game, the Red Line runs every 12 minutes on weekends, so be at the platform well before the crowd.
No official Shell Energy Stadium rail route was published in the official pages checked. The Dynamo's stadium page holds the directions, so read it before you go.
Step 5: Fill the hours before the game downtown
Daikin Park and Toyota Center are both downtown, so the hours before a game fit a short downtown plan. A bus tour houston loop is an easy way to see the center in one go. Pick one that ends well before the gates open. All three tours below have free cancellation, so you can change plans if the game time moves. You can see downtown on foot for free, so do it yourself unless you want a guide. A tour adds a guide and a set start time.
The Houston open-top bus tour is run by Houston City Tours LLC, from €36 per person for 80 minutes. It is rated 4.5 from 585 reviews, and it has free cancellation. It meets at 1302 Dallas Street. The listing says it does not suit people with mobility impairments or motion sickness. Its listing names only the ride as included, and it does not publish a group size.
Prices and ratings as shown on GetYourGuide on 27 October 2026.
If you want to walk, the downtown tunnels are air-conditioned. The tunnels close by 6 p.m. and are not open on weekends or evenings, according to Downtown Houston's own page. So they suit a weekday afternoon, not a Saturday game.
The Astroville downtown tunnel tour runs two hours with a local guide and is run by Astroville Tours and Houston Charter Transportation. It is from €27 per person, rated 4.9 from 263 reviews, with free cancellation and groups of up to 15. It meets at 914 Dallas Street. The listing says it does not suit wheelchair users, and food and tips are not included.

For a plan that covers the walk, Discovery Green and the lunch stop, see things to do in downtown houston. The electric cart city loop is run by Joyride Houston. It is a guided loop of downtown, rated 4.0 from 36 reviews, with free cancellation, from €58 per person for 1 h 30 min. Its listing gives no meeting point or group size, so check the page before you book.
If you want a longer trip around the city, the Buffalo Bayou Park and the Cistern page is a good next step.
Game day is better when the hours before it are planned too.
Fill the hours before the game
There is no Astros, Texans or Dynamo game ticket on GetYourGuide. The one game ticket is a Rockets one, from €26 per person, rated 4.7 from 40 reviews and not refundable. For the hours before a downtown game, the Houston city tour is the option that exists. Our advice: do it yourself. Walking downtown on your own is free, and the team's site is the only place for a game seat. Book a tour only if you want a guide and a fixed start time. All three tours below have free cancellation, so you can drop one if the game time moves. The open-top bus tour is a ride from €36 for 80 minutes, rated 4.5 from 585 reviews, with free cancellation, and meets at 1302 Dallas Street. Its listing names only the ride as included and does not publish the group size. The tunnel walk is a local-guide walk from €27 for 2 hours, rated 4.9 from 263 reviews, with free cancellation, groups of up to 15, and meets at 914 Dallas Street. Food and tips are not included. The cart loop is a guided downtown ride from €58 for 1 h 30 min, rated 4.0 from 36 reviews, with free cancellation. Its listing gives no meeting point or group size, so neither is published.
